Mem is so called because it used to be a planet bought by the Americo federation ( A unified country made up of Mexico, Belize, Costa Rica, El Salvador, and Guatemala) and turned into a vacation planet. For anyone lucky enough to afford it would find any vacation theme they would need. Even the capital, La Ciudad Feliz, had a higher annural income from their casinos than that of all the central american countries in the 21st century combined.
